Originaires d’Helsingborg en Suède, The Sounds est actif depuis 1998 et a réalisé cinq albums studio : Living in America (2002), Dying to Say This is You (2006), Crossing the Rubbicon (2009), Something to Die For (2011), et Weekend (2013).
Entre indie-rock et new wave, on aime à comparer le groupe à Blondie ou The Cars par exemple.
